Hello,

I was using Visifire a over a year ago and at that point it was free and open source. I take it that the status of Visifire has now changed. I was hoping to use it for a personal (at home) project, but I can't afford $400 or $500!!!

While searching the forums and in some of the blog posts I have seen a reference to a "Community Edition". Is that gone now too?

Thank you,
Jim

Hey Jim,

You can download Visifire v2.3.6 from here. Visifire v2.3.6 is for Silverlight 3. If you want to use Silverlight 4 you have to use latest version of Visifire.

Eva

Thanks Eva,

Sorry I didn't specify, but I was looking for WPF. So, these downloads aren't expiring trials then?

Thanks,
Jim

What about starving students??? I used the free edition for class work instead of the lame MS Charting and was really looking forward to an edition for Silverlight 4 and gauges. The last edition I was using was 3.6.1, is there an edition option that will give me Silverlight 4 support (and gauges would be nice)?

Yes, but like Justin I cannot afford $500. Especially when the use is independent as a student and not for commercial purposes, I really liked the product. :(

Hi!
What difference between Visifire 3.6.8 and Visifire 4.0.2?
Can I use Visifire 3.6.8 by GPL License with Silverlight 4?

Hi,

There several improvements in Visifire 4.x. Additionally you get Gauges in Visifire 4.x - http://www.visifire....ght-wpf-gauges/

Yes, you can use Visifire 3.6.8 under GPL. It also works with Silverlight 4.
