Greetings,

We are currently attempting to integrate our products with the Windows 8 consumer preview and our Visifire Charts are crashing due to a VerificationException. This issue did not exist in the developer preview of Windows 8. This error occurred when compiled on Windows 7 and Windows 8. The crash only occurs on Windows 8 Consumer Preview, all other OS(s) work as desired includeing Windows 8 Developer Preview.

I have attached code to recreate the issue.

Compiler:
VS2010 Professional

OS:
Windows 8 Consumer Preview x64, build 8250

Exception:
VerificationException was thrown on “chartData”: Cannot create instance of, “Chart”.

Details:
Operation could destabilize the runtime.
at Visifire.Charts.Chart..cctor()

There was a security issue with WPF 4.0 chart library. We have fixed it. Please download the internal release build from here and let us know if the problem persists.

Vivek

Works perfectly, thank you.

Avanquest is a licensed customer, could you get non-trial binaries to me or our IT contact? My avanquest email is attached but I understand if this needs to go to our contact that is registered with you.

Thanks again, the turn around on this defect was impressive.
